Aasmah’s first book “A Pebble in the Throat” is a dual memoir, following her childhood in Glasgow in the 1970s and 1980s and that of her mother in 1950s Pakistan and beyond. Themes of family, identity, disability and loyalty are explored in this story that spans 50 years and two continents. The book was published by Headline in May 2023 and is available to buy here. It is also available as an audiobook, read by the author herself.
