Cracking Curries was an idea born from Twitter. Many of you had never cooked a curry before and really wanted to. You were looking for a simple recipe. A link to a webpage with a recipe would have done. But we decided to go a bit further.
In July 2012, we filmed 3 recipes in Glasgow, with a crew and an audience of tasters. Cracking Curries is the result. A website and a series on YouTube.
Series 2 (2013) and Series 3 (2014) are now available too. Click on the videos below or go to the website crackingcurries.com

I was wondering where Aasmah had gone to having not heard her on 5 Live for some time. So now she is revealing the secrets of fine curries. Fantastic! I am off to buy some chicken and spinach (I have the spices) and will start frying. The tarka dal looks easy too. Could Ms Mir be the UK’s curry queen? I reckon she could if she brings out a cookbook. I’d buy it.

I’m a curry cowboy, a make-it-up-as-you-go-along merchant, and it’s nice to see such a simple, clear approach.
